My love of weddings began at a very young age. My mother, whose grandparents had a small bakery in Houston, started Sonshine Weddings in the early 1970’s. As a child, I watched and helped her make countless brides happy with cakes, flowers, and every single little detail that a wedding entails. As I got older, I was able to take over events, and eventually went to work for a dude ranch in the mountains of Colorado as the special events and wedding coordinator. When we relocated back to Texas, I was able to work with my mother again, but only on a limited basis. I have always cherished receiving her talent for creating beautiful events, and I am blessed to be able to continue the family legacy.
